“SPLIT-TEST” ADVERTISING TRIAL
WHICH OF YOUR TWO VIDEOS WILL VIEWERS RESPOND TO THE MOST?
Get two custom videos and a combined total of 20,000 YouTube views from your target audience. You’ll get one primary video and one variation for video performance optimization. This is an introduction to Split-Testing, which is running multiple ads at the same time to see which generates the best viewer response. (One part of high-performance, full-funnel, multi-touch marketing).
WHO SHOULD SEE YOUR VIDEOS?
We’ll simultaneously advertise your two videos on YouTube until they receive a combined total of at least 20,000 views. Help us select which viewers should see your videos and then we’ll find out which video will drive more of your target viewers to your website.

YOUR FIRST VIDEO
We’ll consult with you before we present a video concept and script for you to approve for both of your videos. Every video is unique to each product or service.
For this special offer, we will ‘not’ be shooting new video footage of your product or service, although we can do that as part of our regular, full-service productions. (Alternatively, you may provide existing video clips for this special offer).
If desired, as part of our regular, full-service productions, we can send our own video crews anywhere in the United States or we can hire local video crews near you, who will shoot to our specifications. Additionally, you can visit our studios and/or ship us your product(s) for shooting in our studios in Southern California.
Instead of shooting new video footage, we will use stock video clips, and/or stock photos, and/or animation, as well as music, and professional voice-over narration. We also provide commercial legal rights to be used online or on TV.
Of course, for videos that require an exact representation of your product, you will need to provide a video clip or photo. However, for many service companies, we will be able to use high-quality stock imagery and/or animation to represent your message for these videos. See our video examples below. Many include stock video and some include stock photos.
YOUR SECOND VIDEO
Your second video will be a variation of your first video, for the purpose of running a Split-Test to find which video performs best with your target audience.
- Sometimes a price test would be the most beneficial.
- Oftentimes a different customer benefit is what will be tested.
- Other times a variation of your product or service description will be tested.
- Different Call-to-Actions (CTA) can be tested.
- “Free Shipping” (or not) is a common test.
- Should one product be featured or more than one? Testing will find out.
- Colors, image sizing, fonts and more can be tested.
- Music selections for your videos can be tested.
- Different target audiences can be tested (although this would often be with one video).
Although there are many more things that can and should be tested to optimize ad performance, only one item is tested at a time. We’ll consult with you to determine the best approach for both of your videos.
The idea is simple: We’ll produce two similar videos — with one important difference — to determine which variation will generate more viewer responses.
The process of testing and optimizing can mean the difference between a campaign that loses money or makes money. Alternatively, it can be the difference between a campaign that is marginally profitable and one that is very profitable.
This is one step in the process toward generating high-performance ad campaigns while spending as little as possible until the results support a bigger advertising budget. Some businesses decide to increase budgeting as soon as they see that it’s profitable. Others want to wait until the campaign is further optimized, to generate even higher returns.
For a more complete outline of this process, visit our marketing strategy.
A FIRST STEP
In addition to scripting and producing your videos, we’ll get them seen 20,000 times on YouTube by your desired prospects, in your preferred geographical area, as part of this Split-Test advertising trial. This trial is one part of an ongoing, high-impact marketing strategy to increase sales for your business, should you desire to continue.
Marketing and advertising professionals know that without a testing and optimization process, the results of any advertisement, whether online text ads, video ads, TV commercials, or other ads, can be unpredictable.
More than ever, resistance to advertising is on the rise — particularly ads that are irrelevant to viewers. Add to that the reality that advertising costs have been steadily increasing for years, and it’s easy to understand how it’s become harder for businesses to grow revenue without a proven marketing strategy.
The days of “Let’s try this ad for a little bit to see if it works” in the hopes of getting a positive result, ended years ago for most competitive industries. Winning with online or on-TV advertising requires a more sophisticated approach than in the past.
You might get lucky ignoring this kind of marketing strategy, just as anyone might get lucky winning the lottery. But if you are a gambling man, you’ll make more money betting that “seat of your pants” advertising won’t be as effective as a properly developed campaign.
The good news is that online testing and optimization (including the use of data science and artificial intelligence) is how advertising performance and profitability can be made significantly more predictable.
We recommend testing and optimizing before making big investments into online or TV advertising, as a path towards increasing your Return On Ad Spend (ROAS).
And to state the obvious, this whole testing and optimization process is how to make any advertising more effective and profitable. (Not just video and TV).
Nevertheless, this introductory trial is a way to get started with video advertising fast and economically.
This trial will establish benchmark performance metrics which we’ll be able to improve after the trial via the basic testing methodology outlined in our marketing strategy.
Obviously, it’s our hope that we’ll continue to work together after this introductory advertising trial. Especially since our full-funnel, multi-touch marketing will significantly amplify your message.
More importantly, we’ll increase the response and productiveness of your advertising over time via ongoing testing and performance optimization.
And if it makes sense to put your product or service on TV, we’ll make that as profitable as possible via the same testing and optimization process. For more info, visit our marketing strategy, which includes TV testing and optimization.
Regardless, there is no obligation to continue after the free advertising trial.
SUITABLE FOR TV
The custom videos we produce for you will be suitable for advertising on TV or online, in addition to the YouTube advertising we launch for you. Furthermore, the legal rights for the content, music, narration and all other assets, such as visual or audio effects, will be released and available for TV broadcast without any royalty or added cost.
If you’re interested in advertising on TV or additional online platforms, you’ll have options.
- You can broadcast your videos on TV or online through another agency
- We can broadcast on TV for you
- We can launch a full-funnel, multi-touch campaign for you
- Or, just use your videos on your website or social media as you wish
The choice is yours.
However, if you’re interested in TV advertising, we recommend testing commercials online first, before broadcasting them on television. This provides a low-cost path to determine the video’s effectiveness. For more info, visit our marketing strategy, which includes testing and optimizing for TV.
