PageRank Sculpting, via Matt Cutts

Matt Cutts (Google engineer) wrote a post titled: PageRank sculpting that is somewhat revealing about certain aspects of Google’s search criteria, at least in terms of a search engine optimization (SEO) environment that is largely based upon Google “not” revealing how their search engine works. The post includes broader references to SEO than simply “PageRank Sculpting” (which could be described as attempting to control the way PageRank flows around your own website). By the way, some important information is reflected in the “comments” section, so if you really want to glean more value from this post, you’ll want to spend some time digging down into the questions and answers.
