Google Blog Search

Search Engine Land published a story about Google’s Blog Search with a quote from Google’s Jeremy Hylton — head of the search quality group in Google’s New York office:  “One important changes is that we’re processing new links much faster, so the post that breaks a story and gets a lot of links is more likely to become the lead story.”
Here is how Google describes their blog search:
“Google is a strong believer in the self-publishing phenomenon represented by blogging, and we hope Blog Search will help our users to explore the blogging universe more effectively, and perhaps inspire many to join the revolution themselves.”
